Sangram at Mysuru
Sangram Keshari Senapati (User:Ssgapu22) is an active Odia Wikimedian from Bhadrk, Odisha. Sangram was introduced to Wikipedia by his senior at college. He later signed up, and created two articles on English Wikipedia. Upon knowing about Odia Wikipedia, he started contributing to it. But as his writing skills were not good, he used to proofread works on Odia Wikisource, and from that experience he learnt the exact pattern of writing in Odia. He recalls that users MKar and Psubhashish greatly helped him during his initial days.

From his contributions, it can be said that Sangram is an ambassador of #100Wikidays challenge. After having participated in Rathajatra Edit-a-thon, Nabakalebara Edit-a-thon, and Wikipedia Asian Month in 2016 & 2017, he decided to regularly commit himself towards improving the coverage of information on Odia Wikipedia. His first challenge was #100WikiWomanDays, which he started on 8 March 2017 i.e. International Women's Day. Having successfully completed it on 15 June, he took up another #100Wikidays on 13 July. Immediately after its completion 20 October, he took up his third challenge on 21 October, and completed it on 28 January 2018. As this journey continues, he is now amid of his fourth Challenge, which was started on 29 January. With these, he aspires to complete his WikiYear some day.

Sangram is a graduate in Computer Science and Engineering, and is now working as an editor at an Odia magazine. He also an avid photographer, and maintains a photography club. He advocates that new editors need to focus on learning the rules of Wikipedia, and contribute to good quality article

Nizil.jpg
Nizil Shah
Nizil Shah is a Wikimedian from Gujarat. As he started editing in 2008, his first article on English Wikipedia was deleted. In 2012 when he could not find an article on a topic related to the history of Gujarat, he decided to write about it himself. Being an avid reader, he observed that Indian topics are lacking in coverage on English Wikipedia. So he kept writing about topics related to Gujarat such as history, language, literature, culture, people, politics, geography, archaeology and many more. With more than 34000 edits and 400+ articles, he is now among the top 2500 English Wikipedians. He also contributes to Gujarati Wikipedia, Gujarati Wikisource, English Wiktionary, Hindi Wikipedia and English Wikivoyage. He has uploaded and curated more than 500 images on Commons. He considers mentoring of a few Wikimedians is his best contribution to the Wikimedia movement.

He sees lots of potential in the Wikidata and has been its contributor since its inception. He briefly served as an administrator there and has now 39000+ edits. He believes that it will be the central data repository of the internet with its effects going very far. He wants to revive Gujarati Wiktionary through upcoming Lexicographic Data on Wikidata.

Though by profession he is a dentist, he rarely contributes to the health-related subjects. He now wants to expand his contributions to dental and other health topics on English and Gujarati Wikipedias. He considers the lack of good resources in Indian languages and on Indian topics is a challenge and he is working to improve the situation with help of fellow Gujarati editors. He believes: One edit is too many and thousand is never enough.
