Experience

The chapter is at the cusp of a new era. We are now eligible for FDC funding and have plans to hire an office and full time staff. First we need help during the complex FDC process. Thereafter, we need persons having experience in such matters to help organise things at EC level. What kind of experience do you bring to the table and how do you think you can help the chapter at the current stage? Pranav 16:13, 23 July 2013 (IST)

Moksh Juneja's Response and followups

As being part of the Secretary and the Marketing head of WikiConference, we have been able to define what Wikipedia stands for to the general public, where we were able to bring in the loose ends together of pulling a national level congress at the same time dealing with local government authorities and corporates. As an entrepreneur, having the experience with starting things, can easily help with nuances of a new office and have experience in hiring that you can leverage to help find the right candidates. Given my background, in the field social media will be leveraging the to get the same support from WMF to clear the complex FDC process. In terms of FDC, I could help provide insight and make the request and follow up during the long process.

Time

While we have said that we are hoping to see our Wikimedia India Chapter growing in upcoming year, it seriously involves a huge amount of time spent by each and every EC member. An EC member is generally expected to work at-least an hour or 2 everyday or at-least 10-12 hours in a week. Share with us what you do, and how you will manage to cope up with this time frame. -- ♪Karthik♫ ♪Nadar♫ 00:39, 24 July 2013 (IST)

Although I have some time constrain in my professional life, most of the time I contribute online work compare to off line work, I will try my best of my position and justice wikimedia movement as member. I do 2-4 hr every day or 10-12 hours weekly frequently.

Moksh Juneja's Response and followups

I have given my time to most of the Wikipedia offline projects from the planning to stage, execution to reporting. Quoting an example, in hope not sounding boastful, during the WikiConference, my company, Avignyata Inc. had won its first Global award for one of the campaigns. The link from the SNCR website http://news.sncr.org/news.php?include=143712. SNCR (Society for New Communications Research) invited me to Harvard University to collect the award, at the same while speaking to the other members of the organizing team, they were happy for me, for my company, but they needed me here. I had canceled the trip for WCI. Had requested SNCR to send the award via courier. My time for Wikimedia is at an equal priority as for my company.

Nikhil Kawale's Response and followups
