Dear all, Greetings from Wikimedia India !
Print copies of Annual report for 2011-12 are now available. These will be circulated to the EC members, Chapter/City SIGs, partners and donors associated with the past year's events. Members and Community interested in getting a copy for use with promoting Wikimedia India in their network of contacts are requested to send the address details to Chapter.
Membership as of 31st October, 2012 is 131.
Amount of donations processed during the month is Rs Nil.
Joint EC (Board meeting) was held on 14 October 2012. Sudhanwa Jogalekar took forward as the new President, Karthik Nadar as the new Secretary, while Anirudh Bhati was reelected as Treasurer. The new EC induction spread over 4 days was held at Bangalore, in order to bring the new EC upto speed on all matters. Sowmyan, Executive Manager participated in these meetings. The event was coordinated by Arun Ram with support from all EC members. The new EC has taken charge effective 16 Oct 2012.
Wiki Loves Monuments
Prize winners for Wiki Loves Monuments 2012 in India was declared on a Workshop in Mumbai. Narender from Delhi, Naga Praneev from Andhra Pradesh and Muffadal Hussain from Jammu and Kashmir won first three prizes for Taj Mahal, Belum Caves and Thiksey Monastery respectively More details here.
