Code of Conduct for Executive Committee Members

Wikimedia Chapter Society is a charitable organization whose Executive Committee members serve the public purposes to which it is dedicated. In general, people acting on the Society’s behalf,including the members of the Executive Committee should aim to be honest and ethical in their dealings with each other, with community members, project users, partners, suppliers and the public. These persons have a duty to conduct the affairs of the Society in a manner consistent with its purpose and to advance the Society's interests. To this end, we, the members of the Executive Committee of Wikimedia Chapter, in recognition of the principles for which the Society stands and its purpose, accept a personal obligation to each other, the General Body and the communities we serve, to hereby commit ourselves to the highest ethical and professional conduct and agree:

1.To treat all persons with respect and fairly, regardless of factors such as caste, creed, colour, region, religion, sex, socio-economic status or sexual orientation.
2.To accept responsibility to make decisions consistent with the welfare of the Society and itsmembers and to promptly address factors that might endanger the Society or its members.
3.To represent the best interests of the Society, to protect Society property and to maintainaccurate, honest and complete books and records of the activities and assets of the Society.
4.To reject bribery, corruption and nepotism in all its forms.
5.To avoid real or perceived conflicts of interest, whenever possible, and to make full and fair disclosure of any such real or perceived conflicts to the Executive Committee of the Society.
6.To be honest and realistic in stating claims or estimates based on available data and to respect confidentiality of information.
7.To avoid injuring others, their property, reputation, or employment by false or malicious action.
Code of Conduct for Employee/staff/contractor

Wikimedia Chapter is a charitable organization whose employees serve the public purposes to which it is dedicated. In general, people acting on the Society’s behalf, including the empolyees should aim to be honest and ethical in their dealings with each other, with community members, project users, partners, suppliers and the public. These persons have a duty to conduct the affairs of the Society in a manner consistent with its purpose and to advance the Society's interests.

To this end, I as an employee of Wikimedia Chapter, in recognition of the principles for which the Society stands and its purpose, accept a personal obligation to the organisation, do hereby commit myself to the highest ethical and professional conduct and agree;
